NTB BOSS GRACE INSTITUTE OF AVIATION AND TRAVEL STUDIES GRADUATION CEREMONY

The General Manager of the National Tourist Board of Sierra Leone(NTB), Mr. Yassin Kargbo has on Saturday 9th December 2017, graced the graduation ceremony of the Institute of Aviation and Travel Studies (IATS) in his capacity as the Keynote speaker of that August gathering. The Institute of Aviation and Travel was founded in 2008, since then, the institution has done extremely well as most of the products of the institution have secured lucrative jobs in the Hospitality Sector, Travel Agencies and other businesses while others are entrepreneurs or self employed. “Most of our students are working with Bintumani Hotel, Addison Blu, IPC travel, Med View Airline, Kenya Airways, Mercury International etc, these are just few of the entities our students are working with” noted Mr. Abdul Kallon, founder and Principal of the institution. In his keynote address, the General Manger, Mr. Yassin Kargbo, espoused on contemporary happenings in the Tourism Industry and also quoted from President Koroma’s 2017 Parliament valedictory closing speech. “Tourism is now doing well in this country than ever before, we shall do more” he reiterated while raining praises on President Koroma for his outstanding support and also extolled the young and dynamic minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Hon. Sidi Yayah Tunis for his astute leadership. Admonishing the students, Mr. Kargbo called on them to be very hardworking and patriotic as the world is now a competitive one ” Be smart, be proactive and innovative ” he noted adding that, ” your institution and the NTB have always had a strong relationship and we promise to keep it that way or even strengthen it further” he eulogized The occasion was climaxed by the awarding of Diplomas, Certificates and Special Awards to specific students for their outstanding performances. Forty five(45) students graduated on this very ceremony.
